Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using WildFocus ("the app", "we", "our"). By downloading or using the app you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Focal Studio. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any updates to these Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
2. The Service
WildFocus is a free productivity application that uses a focus-timer mechanic to help you build focused work habits and earn a collection of illustrated wild animals. The app is provided free of charge and without any guarantee of uptime, continued availability, or feature stability.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any part of it at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
3. Anonymous Accounts & Cloud Backup
WildFocus does not require a traditional account. If you enable the optional Cloud Backup feature, an anonymous Firebase account is created automatically — no email or password is involved. A recovery key is generated and displayed once; you are responsible for saving it.
Important limitations of the Cloud Backup service:
- Backups are token-gated (10 backup operations per month per device).
- If you uninstall the app and lose your recovery key, your cloud backup cannot be recovered.
- We may delete inactive anonymous accounts and their associated data without notice.
- The Cloud Backup service is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app or any portion of it.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any backend service, database, or API used by the app.
- Use the app in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair its servers or infrastructure.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from the app's services.
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
5. Intellectual Property
All content in WildFocus — including but not limited to the animal illustrations, app design, icons, animations, and source code — is the exclusive property of Focal Studio and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your personal device solely for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.
6. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components. You use the app at your own risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Focal Studio and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim (which is zero, as the app is free).
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The URL of this page remains constant, so you can bookmark it for reference.
